Budapest has an extraordinarily rich and fascinating Jewish heritage. To talk about Hungarian culture and history without mentioning the Hungarian Jews, is like cooking without salt! The Hungarian Jews contributed a great deal to Hungarian music, literature, art, culture in general and especially science. Half day tour (4hrs) includes: walk in the former Jewish quarter of, Budapest, Dohány (Great) Synagogue, Jewish Cemetery, Raul Wallenberg Memorial Park, Weeping Willow Holocaust Memorial (Tree of Life), Jewish museum (within the building of the Synagogue), Kazinczy street Orthodox Synagogue, Rumbach Synagogue, “Shoe Memorial” Full day tour (8hrs) includes: walk in the former Jewish quarter of, Budapest, Dohány (Great) Synagogue, Jewish Cemetery, Raul Wallenberg Memorial Park, Weeping Willow Holocaust Memorial (Tree of Life), Jewish museum (within the building of the Synagogue), Kazinczy street Orthodox Synagogue, Rumbach Synagogue, Memorial to Charles Lutz, Holocaust Documentation Center in Budapest, "Shoe Memorial” This tour may be a half or full day tour and either a tour by minivan or a walking tour. For the full day tour minivan is recommended. The half day tour may be combined with other half day tours. Please note that the Synagogues are closed on Saturdays and during Jewish Holidays.
