BEST OF BUDA
During this tour you will see and visit the most important sights of the Buda side. You will drive up to the top of Gellért Hill and enjoy the most stunning views of the entire city. You will also see here the Liberation Monument, emblematic memorial of Budapest from the communist era. You may pop into Gellért spa lobby, to enjoy this great example of unique art nouveau architecture, learn a little bit about the Hungarian spa culture. Visit the Cave Church, which is very different from usual catholic churches (as the church was set up in a natural cave). Then explore the oldest part of Budapest, which is the castle district, dating back to the middle ages. It is like a little village within the big city, you will be able to walk around the cobblestoned streets, narrow patios, quiet walkways, visit Matthias Church and the Fishermen’ Bastion the beautiful lookout terrace. This area also houses the majestic Royal Palace, home to several museums today. This tour primarily should be by minivan and it is a half day (4hrs) tour. It may be combined with another half day, so then it would be a full day.
